dear future husband

dear future husband:
it will be perfectly fine with me if you are this guy.

however, if you're not chace crawford i'm sure we'll probably figure something out.
and even if you don't look like him, you are allowed to have a voice like him.
that would be perfectly acceptable.

i'm done being creepy now.

oh hey. i've been semi dead from the blogging world,
probably because my social life is really thriving right now. lies.
or it could actually be because i'm trying to set a record for most
modern family episodes and chick flicks watched in one week.
fyi, you should probably call guiness now, cause i'm going to be famous soon!

it's been a while since i've done a dear husband post, so here you go.

Dear future husband:
After a weekend crammed full of wedding festivities,
I have a few thoughts for you:

{1} let's make our wedding a crazy fun party.
hopefully it will fill more like a celebration of love and less like a funeral.

{2] we should will have have lots of dancing.

{3} i hope you have good taste in music.

{4} we should laugh alot and not be afraid to make fun of ourselves,
i feel like this will be pretty easy because you'll probably be pretty hilarious, otherwise I won't marry you.

 {5}i think you'll probably look real good in your suit.

{6} i hope you speed and use cruise control on all of the road trips we'll take together.

{7} lets make sure our kisses aren't smooshy and nasty.

{8} lets be capricious.

{9} let's blast music real loud and sing off tune all the time.

{10} i hope you're doing great things wherever you are, and think it will be pretty good when we meet in 4 or 5 years. that'll work perfectly with my plan.

now here are a couple of pictures from said weekend to feast your eyes upon.

double list

it's a new year, which means new years resolutions... yadda yadda yadda
so here are some of my goals for 2012.
in no particular order

{run a half marathon}
{read my scriptures and pray daily}
{lose 15 pounds}
{new blog design}
{travel to a foreign country}
{save money}
{get a 4.0}
{take more pictures}
{develop a talent}
{read more, facebook less}
{don't be afraid to try new things}

i feel like these are some pretty decent goals.
hooray for a new year.

oh and ps. i've had another change in my life plan.
after much deliberation, pro/con list-making, and prayers i've decided to stay in utah.
last week it reached crunch time and i really had to make my decision.
i just felt like hawaii maybe wasn't exactly where i needed to be at this point in my life,
and then everything worked out just perfectly for me to stay in utah.
so utah: here i am. let's have some fun times. and make some money.
and hawaii: i miss your warmth, sunlight, and beautiful beaches already.
you were a fantastic adventure to have. thanks for the good memories.

and speaking of lists.
i've made a list of adventures i didn't get to have while in hawaii.
so dear future husband: we are going to do the following when we vacation to oahu.
{hike stairway to heaven}
{go sky-diving in haleiwa}
{swim with the sharks}
{jump waimea rock}
{adventure to the bunkers}
{crouching lion hike}
{chinaman's hat}
{paddle boarding}

before i holla out there is one more thing i must address.
some people crazy crack smokers think that i stayed in utah to get married.
it's a little hard to get married when you're not actually dating anybody.
so no. i am not planning on getting married anytime soon.
thank you very much. :)

endorphins and marriage

so for the past few days or weeks i've been thinking a decent amount. shocking, i know.
but mostly only about two things: exercise and marriage.
i know the two seem random, but they are actually semi-related if you really think about.
i mean hello? the lgn diet? you can't get more related than that.
lgn: look good naked. for those uneducated souls out there

so here are some blabberings about these two subjects.

numba one.
so i've been giving the whole working-out thing another shot.
i tend to go through phases, and this one is lasting longer than most.

because the other day at the beach i had a bit of an epiphany.
i was looking at a couple of my friends and i thought to myself
"they look good in their suits, and they have to work for it.
why don't i work for it so that i can look good in my suit?"
i know that seems like duh but it was a bit of an a-ha moment for me.

so i've been doing jillian michaels 30-day shred and running when i can.
and you know what? it's true what they say: exercise really does release endorphins!
who would have though that the experts have been right all this time.

since living in hawaii i really have felt the best i have in a long time.
i am so active because i bike and walk everywhere.
plus swimming, hiking, and the occasional dance party on top of that.
i love this feeling of being active. it makes me happy.

and another reason to work out as vain as it may be:
 i want my friends and family to notice a difference when i go home for christmas.
plus there are going to be all sorts of weddings and homecomings... so why not work it? :)

and for my last thought on this matter.
if i want a guy with a hottie bod shouldn't i have a hottie bod too?

thank you pinterest for this little inspiration
this is for reals my last thought. and what's wrong with being on the lgn before i get engaged?
it will make it that much easier when the time does come, right?
which won't be for quite a while, mind you.
and this leads us to our next topic.... marriage.

numba two.
"mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday."

this topic is a favorite of byu-hawaii.
it is all-consuming to the point of ridiculousness.
it seriously comes up in every church meeting, fireside, random conversation, and even most of my classes.
so it's only natural that i think about it.

and then the other day i had a moment where i was frustrated witt the world of men.
cause they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.
 so my roommate and her kind friend thanks tati and donnie sat me down until we figured out what i want in life.
and we figured out that i don't just want to kiss somebody to kiss somebody.
i want to have it mean something.
because i am sick of having random flings.
i want to have somebody who wants to spend their time with me.
somebody to go on adventures with.
you know. just somebody like that.

but another friend pointed out to me in a similar discussion that we're kind of at that stage where dating is more serious.
and that we shouldn't really be messing around.
and then we talked about how this is a slightly terryfing thought.
because i sometimes think we are still just kids.
and kids don't/can't get married.
but that's obviously not true, because everyone i know is getting married these days.

anyways. this is getting to be a really long post with way too many words.
so i should head out.

BUT. as a final note i would just like to say:
i am not in any hurry/desperate to get married.
i actually have the next ten years of my life planned out as a single lady.
and it's a pretty dang good one.
but, if a man does come along sometime within those ten years, things can be rearranged.
and that will be pretty dang good too.
i have just come to terms with the fact that i would be fine with a legitimate relationship,
because i am so over random flings.

and on that note, here's a good thought for you.

that is all.
thank you and good night.
and if you actually read this far, then kudos to you!

husband thoughts

dear future husband:

i have a few thoughts for you,
whoever you are
and wherever you may be.

1) let's cuddle as much as possible.
2) i hope that the beginnings of our dating can be fairly drama free.
translation: i'm all for saying how we fell and being open about things.
3) i would not be opposed if you had to fight a little bit for me.
blame this one on the movies. such unrealistic expectations
4) let's be spontaneous.
5) i hope that you have lofty goals that will drive you.
7) let's make our love timeless.
8) i would love to kiss you in the rain.
see: the notebook and/or sweet home alabama
9) let's travel the world together. right after we're married.
10) although you are fantastic, you don't need to come around quite yet.
i still need to travel the world, finish my schooling, yada yada yada

now. for your viewing pleasures, here are some of my favorite pictures that i've found on pinterest.
i find them quite beautiful.

husband, let's have a beautiful love.
thanks.

sincerely,
your future wife

hand holds.

dear future husband:

wherever you may be, and whatever you are doing, hear this:
i hope that you are not afraid to hold my hand in public.

also. do not be afraid to put your arm around me during a movie or what not.
i will appreciate these kind gestures.

sincerely, your future wife.
