oh hey. i've been semi dead from the blogging world,
probably because my social life is really thriving right now. lies.
or it could actually be because i'm trying to set a record for most
modern family episodes and chick flicks watched in one week.
fyi, you should probably call guiness now, cause i'm going to be famous soon!

it's been a while since i've done a dear husband post, so here you go.

Dear future husband:
After a weekend crammed full of wedding festivities,
I have a few thoughts for you:

{1} let's make our wedding a crazy fun party.
hopefully it will fill more like a celebration of love and less like a funeral.

{2] we should will have have lots of dancing.

{3} i hope you have good taste in music.

{4} we should laugh alot and not be afraid to make fun of ourselves,
i feel like this will be pretty easy because you'll probably be pretty hilarious, otherwise I won't marry you.

{5}i think you'll probably look real good in your suit.

{6} i hope you speed and use cruise control on all of the road trips we'll take together.

{7} lets make sure our kisses aren't smooshy and nasty.

{8} lets be capricious.

{9} let's blast music real loud and sing off tune all the time.

{10} i hope you're doing great things wherever you are, and think it will be pretty good when we meet in 4 or 5 years. that'll work perfectly with my plan.

now here are a couple of pictures from said weekend to feast your eyes upon.

home

after attending the parade of homes today i have come to a conclusion:
i cannot wait to have a house of my own to decorate.
i just feel like that will be such a fun thing.

i'm also pretty positive i saw my future husband at the parade of homes.
man oh man. he was a goodie.
i was thinking about just going up to him and saying:
"hey. i think we should probably kiss and get married and live in this million dollar home we're standing in."
i feel like that would go over well.

but since i couldn't work up the guts to say that, i think i'll whip out my unused sewing machine and have a little crafternoon and make all sorts of creations for the home that i will someday have.

horoscope

so i am not one to believe in horoscopes and palm reading and such things.
i think they are hogwash.
ha ha what a hilarious old-fashioned word.

but a while back i stumbled across 2012 horoscopes.
so i decided to read them, mostly because they are fun to mock.

but then mine said this:
"New beginnings have indeed arrived in your favor with the onset of 2012, Cancer. Although the biggest changes in the love realm won't arrive until autumn, romance will return as a central theme for you in 2012--just when you'd started to give up hope of anything new ever returning to your life! Although Pluto has been working on deeply transforming your partnership sector since 2008 [so i don't even know what this is really saying here, but 2008 was a significant year for me], you were indeed beginning to wonder if anything new would ever come to fill the void. And alas, it shall!"

Okay, so i was typing that i realize how truly ridiculous it sounds.
but i'm not gonna lie, i wouldn't mind if a little love happened to come my way this year.
that would be nice.

below is a preview of what my life will look like in autumn.
except we'll probably be less trendy.
and my legs will definitely not be a size 00.
and maybe my future lover man can not have a slight pot gut.
but other than that it's fine.

and that is all for now.

winter white.

remember these kids?
well i'm working with them again.
bless tammy for always employing me!

and today after staring at me for a minute brody said:
"i figured out why you look so different.
you are paler than when i used to know you."

ha ha. kids are so brutally honest sometime.
the summer sun needs to come back to get some color on this pasty winter skin!

ps. what do you think of the new design?
it's still a work in progress.

mac daddy and bike rides.

i have mac envy.
seriously. i want one of these:

so badly.
i once again curse my empty wallet.

also.
the lil' sis, madre and myself decided to go for a bike ride tonight.
you know, as preparation for when i bike to school every day...
in HAWAII.

don't mind the blurry phone pic.
but it kind of whooped my trash.
i need to get in shape and only have 23 days until i leave.
ahhhh.

i am still so excited.

hi, i'm dr. east coast

so i've been having two highly contemplative thoughts lately.

#1:
While at dinner the other night with my family we got talking about medical school.
My dad says that he's always thought I should go to medical school
(perhaps he should have mentioned it before).
For some reason I had never even considered such a thing, but now I'm thinking about it.
What if I decided to go to medical school one day?
That would be a life-changer for sure.

I mean this could be ME.
And I would have that haircut.
And the cute backdrop.
And yes, I did google this. And yes, I also picked the cheesiest picture possible.
But hey, she seems to be happy with her career choice.

#2:
This is not a recent thought (I've wanted to do it since I was 14), but just one I have more seriously entertained lately.
I want to live on the east coast.
Boston, DC, New York. Really any of them will suffice.
But I've been thinking of what I could do there,
you know, so that I have an actual solid reason to go.

And then tonight some friends came to visit.
And guess where they're from, Pennsylvania of course.
So they are just a hop, skip, and a jump away from so many great places.
All of their stories of day trips to NY and Philly made me one envious lady.
And we chatted about how they have needed a nanny every summer (and more),
and how their neighbors need the same.

So maybe next summer I'll go nanny it up on the east coast.
I think that this would make me very happy.

i am in love with this city.

But we'll see how things pan out, because life is always changing.
:)
